Welcome to BibleMemoryDay.com, the future home of our website dedicated to celebrating and promoting memorizing God’s Word through Bible Memory Day events in schools, Churches, community gatherings, families, and individual lives.
“Bible Memory Day” is defined by quoting as many verses as we can, usually in a day, but it can last several days, even up to a month.
“Bible Memory Day Gathering” is when 2 or more people gather to quote as many verses as they can, or they want to or have time to quote. My prayer and dream is for Bible Memory Day Gatherings to become a regular activity, at least once a year in schools and elsewhere.
A “School Bible Memory Day” is defined by every student in a school, or every Christian student in a multi-faith school quoting as many verses as they can. It doesn’t have to happen in one day.
The goal is NOT to legalistically force every student to memorize the Bible, or even to push every student to memorize as many verses as they can. Rather, the goal is for Christin schools to give a clear message that God’s Word is worth memorizing and we hope that you can and will want to keep FOR LIFE a high % of the verses you have memorized and will memorize
Currently only 2 schools I know of have run a Bible Memory Day for all students. I pray that one day there will be dozens, if not hundreds, or even thousands of schools around the world running Bible Memory Days at least once a year.
1)SMPTK Eresi Lahusa Fau – a Christian Middle school on the island of Nias in Indonesia. On September 19, 2025, the 6 students quoted a total of 287 verses. The school is committed to running a Bible Memory Day every semester.
2)SMPTK Hilimbowo - a Christian Middle school on the island of Nias in Indonesia. On October 2, 2025, the 17 students quoted a total of 439 verses. The school is committed to running a Bible Memory Day every semester.

Saturday, April 4th, 2026 from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Phil Walker, a Bible Memory missionary whose main ministry focus is in Indonesia will, Lord willing, quote 2,000+ verses at Evangelical Free Church in Clinton Corners, NY and invites all who are interested to join in quoting 1 or more verses.
Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (April 13th, 14th, or 15th) in the Wilmore, KY or Lexington, KY area. Exact date and location being finalized.
